Friends and Family Tour 2017

Nashville TN. -    We pulled in yesterday to Two Rivers Campground.   It is just a couple miles from the Grand Ole Opry.   We took a shuttle to downtown Nashville late yesterday afternoon.   Our plan was to listen to a few country bands and get something to eat.   We got there around 5pm but somewhere during the ride we passed through a portal into a parallel universe where everything was opposite.   We heard a country girl singing and went in.   Immediately she took a break and her band started playing alternative rock music.   We left there and heard a male singer that was singing Dwight Yokum.   We went in and after one song he took a break and guess what, the band started playing Radio Head, Jimmy Hendrix and Nirvana.   The Nirv of them in downtown Nashville.   Then we went to Honky Tonk Central to the second floor.   There was an Eric Church look alike sing good country songs.   Guess what, he t...

Friends and Family Tour 2017

Hello to all you faithful readers, and the ones that are not so faithful. As you can tell by the title we are on the road for the rest of the summer. After 2 successful shake down trips we feel we have a good handle on how to not damage our new toy, ourselves, or anyone else as we travel through our rookie year. Thanks to advice from friends, new and old, and the group to which GA belongs. A wealth of information that comes in quite handy.  This is actually day 2 of our journey. Last night we stayed in Cecil, GA at Cecil Bay RV Park. We're glad it was a Tuesday night because from the looks of the RVs that are parked there semi permanently, we imagine the weekends to be more festive. But, the price was right, $28, and it was clean and friendly.  Right now we are just south of Chattanooga TN at a very nice and reasonable park called Battlefield Campground and RV Park in Ringgold GA.
